Police arrested three suspects on Wednesday morning 17 December for robberies that took place during Halloween on Tuesday 11 November 2025, according to politie.nl. The incidents occurred around Laan van Angers and Engelandpark in Haarlem.
The arrests involved an 18-year-old man and two boys aged 16 and 15 respectively. All three are from Haarlem and are currently in custody. Police have not ruled out further arrests.
During Halloween, six minor children filed reports of robbery of their sweets. One victim was taken to hospital for observation. The affected children filed reports together with their parents; victim support was offered.
Following the initial reports, police launched an investigation. They reviewed camera footage, interviewed witnesses and issued a Burgernet alert. In the days following the incidents, several neighbourhood inquiries were conducted, which ultimately led to the three arrests.
