Sixty gardaí raid ten Dublin homes in firearm discharge investigation
A large-scale garda operation across Dublin this morning resulted in the seizure of suspected drugs, shotgun cartridges, two vehicles, mobile phones and €5,000 in cash, TheJournal.ie reports.
Searches were carried out at 10 properties across Clondalkin, Ballyfermot, Ronanstown, Terenure and Tallaght, involving a total of 60 gardaí.
The operation was conducted with the objective of gathering evidence linked to the discharge of a firearm at St Killian's Park in Clondalkin on 4 August, in which a man in his 40s was injured.
Among the items recovered were a Yamaha motorbike, a Yamaha boat engine and a Ford Transit van. Suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of €18,000, cannabis herb valued at €15,860, and cannabis resin valued at €1,190 were also seized under warrant.
The seized drugs and ammunition will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
