Elderly Dublin woman's jewellery stolen after suspect follows her home in Artane

A woman in her 80s was robbed of jewellery at her Artane home on Monday after being followed from local shops. Gardaí are appealing for dashcam and CCTV footage.

A woman in her 80s had jewellery stolen from her at her home in Artane, Dublin, on Monday morning, TheJournal.ie reports.

The incident took place at approximately 9.44am on Sunview, Malahide Road, Artane, Dublin 5. The victim had been returning from a local shopping trip when a suspect followed her back to her home.

She was approached in her driveway, and a number of pieces of jewellery were taken from her.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area between 9.30am and 9.50am to come forward. In particular, motorists with dashcam footage and residents with doorbell or CCTV recordings are asked to make contact.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed investigations are ongoing.
