Four men charged over cross-county burglaries in Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny and Laois

Four men, several with links to Tallaght, appeared before Dublin District Court on charges connected to burglaries across four counties. All were remanded on bail with strict conditions.

Tallaght-linked men face Dublin court over multi-county burglary investigation

Four men, several with connections to the Tallaght area of Dublin, have appeared before Dublin District Court charged in connection with a burglary investigation spanning four counties, Google News IE — Crime (en) reports.

Gardaí arrested all four in a silver 2006 Volvo S40 on Thursday, 20 August, in relation to burglaries across Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny and Laois. The men were initially detained in Dublin before being brought before the court.

Hugh Cash, 50, of Sundale Avenue, Jobstown, faces two counts of possession of articles for use in burglary or theft, as well as one count of obstruction of a garda officer.

His son, John Cash, 24, of Gorey, Co. Wexford, appeared on 14 separate charges — including four counts of burglary, three of dangerous driving, and further charges of endangerment, displaying false registration plates, failing to stop, leaving the scene of a collision, and possession of items intended for use in a burglary.

Luke Wall, 23, of Brookview Way, Brookfield, faces eight charges, among them four counts of burglary. Michael Moore-house McCarthy, 23, of Shankill, is the fourth accused and faces three charges.

All four were remanded on bail and must remain at their registered addresses. None may leave the jurisdictions in which they currently reside, apply for travel documents, or have contact with one another. John Cash was additionally ordered not to enter any of the four counties at the centre of the investigation.
