An Garda Síochána has renewed its appeal for information into the murder of eight-year-old Daniel Aruebose, whose remains were found in Donabate, Dublin.

An Garda Síochána has renewed its appeal for information on the murder of Daniel Aruebose, as the first anniversary of the homicide investigation approaches, Google News IE — Crime (en) reports.

Daniel, who would now be eight years old, is believed to have died in 2021. His remains were discovered in 2025 in an unmarked grave on waste ground outside Donabate in Dublin, following a missing persons report filed the same year.

Swords Garda Station is leading the inquiry, with support from the Crime East DMR North Division, the Divisional Search Team, the Divisional Scenes of Crime Team, and both Uniformed and Community Policing units.

Gardaí confirmed they are continuing to investigate all circumstances surrounding Daniel's death and that a homicide investigation remains active.

The investigation spans multiple domestic and international jurisdictions. Law enforcement authorities in the United States, Brazil, France, and the United Kingdom have all been engaged, along with the Australian Federal Police, the Portuguese Judicial Police, Interpol, and the United Arab Emirates Embassy.

Gardaí have also coordinated with the PSNI in Northern Ireland, the Director of Public Prosecutions, and the central channels for Mutual Legal Assistance to gather evidence and facilitate international legal requests.

"Daniel was a happy, vibrant young boy and An Garda Síochána is determined to vindicate Daniel's human rights and remember him and his short life," a Garda statement read.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who has information relating to Daniel's disappearance and death to contact the investigation team at Swords Garda Station on 01 666 4700, or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

Investigators are also specifically asking anyone who lived at The Gallery Apartments complex in Donabate at any point between July 2019 and the present to come forward, if they have not already done so.

Gardaí urged members of the public not to assume that investigators are already in possession of information they may hold, nor to dismiss any detail as insignificant. Anyone who had any interaction with Daniel, or who holds any relevant information, is asked to contact An Garda Síochána directly. The investigation team has said all contact will be treated in the strictest confidence.
