Man charged after violent disorder in Leopardstown leaves one in critical condition

Three men were hospitalised following a violent incident at South County Business Park in Dublin on Saturday. One remains in a critical condition at Beaumont Hospital.

Man charged after violent disorder leaves three hospitalised in south Dublin

A man in his 20s has been charged in connection with a violent disorder at South County Business Park in Leopardstown, south Dublin, that left three men requiring hospital treatment, the Irish Times reports.

Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 8.25pm on Saturday following reports of an incident involving a number of people.

One man in his 20s sustained serious injuries and was transferred to Beaumont Hospital, where he remained in a critical condition. Two further men, also in their 20s, were taken to St Vincent's Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

A man in his 20s was arrested and detained at a Garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. He has since been charged and is due to appear before a Dublin court on Monday morning.

The scene was preserved for technical examination, and a senior investigating officer has been appointed. An incident room has been established at Dundrum Garda station, where investigations are described as ongoing.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and have asked anyone who was in the vicinity of the Vantage Apartments, Central Park, Leopardstown, or South County Business Park between 8pm and 9pm on Saturday to come forward. Those with camera footage from the area are asked to make it available to investigators.
