Violent disorder in Leopardstown leaves one man critical, arrest made

Three men were hospitalised after a violent incident at South County Business Park in Leopardstown, Dublin, on Saturday night. One man in his 20s remains in a critical condition at Beaumont Hospital.

Three young men were taken to hospital following a violent disorder in Leopardstown, Co Dublin, on Saturday night, Google News IE — Crime (en) reports.

Gardaí and emergency services received reports of an incident involving a number of people at South County Business Park at around 8.25pm on 29 August 2026.

A man in his 20s was seriously injured and transferred to Beaumont Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. Two other men in their 20s were brought to St Vincent's Hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

A man in his 20s was subsequently arrested and is being detained at a garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

A Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed to lead the investigation. The scene at South County Business Park has been preserved for technical examination, and an incident room has been established at Dundrum Garda Station.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. In particular, investigators are seeking camera footage — including dash-cam recordings — from anyone who was in or around the Vantage Apartments, Central Park, Leopardstown, and the South County Business Park area between 8pm and 9pm on Saturday evening.
