Waterford man remanded in custody over armed Applegreen robbery

Google News IE — Crime (en) reports that Anthony O'Regan (39), of 67 Larchville, Waterford, has appeared in court charged in connection with a robbery at the Applegreen Service Station on Cleaboy Road.
O'Regan allegedly entered the store on the evening of 23 June, produced a screwdriver to threaten staff, and made off on foot with €860 taken from a shop assistant. Gardaí placed the time of the incident at approximately 7.45pm.
Waterford District Court was told last week that a file has been forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions. Judge William Aylmer remanded O'Regan in custody, with the case adjourned until 8 September.
