Woman in her 20s robbed and assaulted on Alfie Byrne Road, Dublin 3

A woman was attacked and robbed on Alfie Byrne Road at around 5.10am on Tuesday. Gardaí are appealing for dashcam footage from the area.

Early morning robbery and assault on Dublin's Alfie Byrne Road

A woman in her 20s was robbed and assaulted while walking along Alfie Byrne Road, Dublin 3, at approximately 5.10am on Tuesday, TheJournal.ie reports.

The incident occurred on the road connecting East Wall and Clontarf. The woman was making her way towards Clontarf when she was assaulted and a number of items were taken from her.

Gardaí described the female suspect as wearing a red puffer jacket at the time of the attack.

Investigators are appealing to anyone in the area between 5am and 5.20am to come forward, with a particular request to motorists who may have captured relevant dashcam footage.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed that investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Clontarf Garda Station on 01 666 4800, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
