Four arrested in County Lines drug raids across Prescot, Knowsley and Wigan
Merseyside Police arrested four people in early morning raids targeting a County Lines drug network operating between Knowsley, Wigan and Lancashire.

County Lines raids net four suspects as cash and drugs seized across Merseyside
Four people have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs following a series of early morning raids targeting a suspected County Lines criminal network, sthelensstar.co.uk reports.
Warrants were executed at addresses in Prescot, Stockbridge Village and Ashton-in-Makerfield. The operation was carried out by Merseyside Police's Operation Toxic, the County Lines Taskforce and Knowsley policing teams, as part of an investigation into an organised crime group supplying Class A drugs along a County Line connecting Knowsley, Wigan and Lancashire.
Officers seized significant quantities of cash and suspected Class A and B drugs during the searches.
Those arrested include two 30-year-old men from Prescot and Stockbridge Village, a 51-year-old woman from Prescot, and a 54-year-old woman from Ashton-in-Makerfield. All four remain in custody for questioning.
Operation Toxic and the County Lines Task Force operate under Project Medusa, a Merseyside-led initiative designed to tackle County Lines drug dealing and child criminal exploitation across the country.
Detective Inspector Jay Boardman from Project Medusa said: "This morning's arrests demonstrate the continued pressure Project Medusa is putting on organised crime groups operating County Lines in and out of Merseyside. We are relentless in pursuing those involved in drug supply and exploitation, and we will continue to dismantle these networks wherever they operate."
Boardman added that close collaboration between specialist County Lines officers and local policing teams had enabled the force to act on intelligence decisively. "This activity is ongoing, and our message to those involved is clear – we will keep coming," he said.
