British court documents allege Andrew and Tristan Tate lured women to Romania with false promises before forcing them into online pornography. Both brothers deny all wrongdoing.

Extradition documents detail alleged coercion scheme by Tate brothers
Andrew and Tristan Tate used a "lover boy" model to draw vulnerable women into creating online pornography, according to British court documents made public in the United States on Monday, The Independent reports.
A detective with Bedfordshire Police outlined the prosecution's case in a summary submitted as part of the British embassy's extradition request to Washington. The document describes how the brothers allegedly encouraged women to travel to their base in Romania under the pretence of romantic relationships, before resorting to violence and threats to keep them compliant.
According to the summary, Andrew Tate specifically targeted vulnerable women, convincing them to relocate to Romania by promising they could earn money through his webcam business. Once there, the women became financially dependent on the brothers, who frequently confiscated their passports.
"The prosecution case is that Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate used and threatened physical and sexual violence in order to maintain control and compliance," the summary stated.
The brothers, who hold dual US and British citizenship, were arrested in Miami in July after Britain formally requested their extradition. Andrew Tate, 39, and Tristan Tate, 38, are former kickboxers who built a substantial online following promoting their views on masculinity and wealth. Andrew Tate has previously described himself as a misogynist.
The charges the brothers face in the UK include rape and human trafficking. Neither has appeared before a British court to formally answer those charges, and both deny any wrongdoing. Lawyers for the pair did not respond to requests for comment.
US Magistrate Judge Lauren Louis asked the brothers' lawyers on Thursday to propose dates for their final extradition hearings, though no date has yet been set. The Tate brothers have remained in custody in Miami since their arrests.
The brothers have also faced a separate investigation in Romania since 2022, covering charges that include human trafficking.
