Allentown man charged with uploading child sexual abuse material
Matthew Francis, 29, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, was arrested and charged with felony possession of child sexual abuse material and related offences, nbcphiladelphia.com reports.
According to police, tips were received on 4 September 2026 indicating that several videos depicting child sexual abuse had been uploaded from a computer believed to be located at a residence on the unit block of North 7th Street in Allentown.
Investigators linked a cell phone number associated with the uploaded material to Francis. That number had previously been provided to Allentown police in June of this year, when Francis filed a report regarding a dispute with a neighbour.
A search of Francis' home was carried out on Friday. Investigators allege they recovered additional child sexual abuse material on his cell phone during that search.
Francis was taken into custody and held pending an arraignment hearing. His next scheduled court appearance is 18 September 2026.
