Brian Hickerson, the boyfriend of the late actress Hayden Panettiere, was detained by police following an alleged assault at a restaurant in Greenville, South Carolina, foxcarolina.com reports.

Officers from the Greenville Police Department were called to the Wild Wing Cafe on Woodruff Road at around 9:10 p.m. after reports of an assault inside the premises. Upon arrival, they found several people involved in an altercation, and multiple individuals were detained while the incident was investigated.

Among those detained were Brian Hickerson and his brother, Zach Hickerson. During the investigation, officers determined that Zach was highly intoxicated and had begun yelling profanities in a public setting. He was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct and taken to the Greenville County Detention Center.

Jail records reviewed by foxcarolina.com show that Zach was issued a recognizance bond of $257.50 on Sunday afternoon. The bond was satisfied and he has since been released. Brian Hickerson was detained but not listed as arrested in connection with the incident.

The incident comes weeks after Panettiere was found dead at Judson Mill Lofts in Greenville in August, following a report of an unresponsive female. The Greenville Police Department and the Greenville County Coroner's Office continue to investigate her death.
