Four wounded in overnight Sacramento shootings
Four people sustained gunshot wounds in two separate incidents in Sacramento in the early hours of Sunday morning, cbsnews.com reports.
The first shooting occurred just after 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Cucamonga and Ramona avenues in the Ramona Village neighbourhood. Officers arriving at the scene found three female victims. Two were transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening; a third was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
A fourth victim — a male — was discovered at the site of a car crash near Folsom Boulevard and State University Drive. He was also taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
Police have not released the identities or ages of any of the victims, and no suspect information has been established.
The incidents followed shots fired earlier that night in a Sacramento State parking garage. Authorities said it had not yet been determined whether that earlier shooting was connected to the two that followed.
