Las Vegas police are seeking a man who stole hundreds of dollars of goods from an east valley business on July 12 and struck a security guard with a bag of bananas.

Google News MT — Crime (en) reports that Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is seeking a suspect in a strong-arm robbery that occurred at a business near the 7000 block of East Lake Mead Boulevard on 12 July.
Surveillance footage shows the man entering the store around 2:32 p.m., pushing a personal shopping cart which he filled with hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise, according to police.
When a loss prevention officer confronted him as he attempted to leave without paying, the suspect swung a bag of bananas at the security guard, striking him in the face, before fleeing the premises.
Police describe the man as a Black male aged between 40 and 50, of medium build. At the time of the incident he was wearing a black baseball-style hat, a blue button-up shirt, black shorts, and white socks with black sandals. He was pushing a grey personal shopping cart.
His vehicle is described as a black Jeep, possibly a Renegade.
