Man shot dead in Fresno garage, homicide detectives called to scene
A man was fatally shot Saturday evening in a garage on E. Warren Avenue in Fresno. Police are treating the death as a homicide.

A man was shot and killed Saturday evening in Fresno's 4100 block of E. Warren Avenue, near Ashlan Avenue, fresnobee.com reports. Officers were alerted to a shooting victim shortly before 6 p.m., according to Fresno Police Lieutenant Justin Hoagland.
A police helicopter was first to arrive and observed a large disturbance in the area, Hoagland said. Ground units then located a man inside a garage with a gunshot wound to his upper torso.
Emergency medical services and firefighters attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Evidence at the scene indicates the incident is being treated as a homicide, Hoagland said. No suspect description has been released.
Homicide detectives are expected to remain at the scene overnight and into Sunday morning. Anyone with information is asked to contact Fresno Police at 559-621-7000.
