Man shot in West Loop Chicago after argument inside Randolph Street business

A 29-year-old man was grazed by bullets after a fight inside a West Loop business escalated into a shootout early Sunday. He was hospitalised and taken into custody.

A 29-year-old man sustained gunshot wounds early Sunday morning after an argument inside a business on the 1300-block of West Randolph Street escalated into an exchange of gunfire, abc7chicago.com reports.

Chicago police said the shooting occurred at approximately 1:51 a.m. The man got into a dispute with another individual inside the West Loop premises. Both then moved outside, where they opened fire on each other.

Bullets grazed the 29-year-old's arms, jaw and abdomen. He was transported to a nearby hospital in good condition, according to the Chicago Police Department, which also placed him in custody.

The second man fled the scene. A handgun was recovered at the location by responding officers.
