Man Stabbed Near St. Patrick's Cathedral in Midtown Manhattan After BMW Dispute

Stabbing Near St. Patrick's Cathedral After Road Dispute

A 21-year-old man was stabbed in the arm and torso near St. Patrick's Cathedral and Saks Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan on Monday evening, NY Post Metro reports.

The victim, on foot, nearly got struck by a BMW at the corner of West 50th Street and Fifth Avenue around 7:30 p.m. He and the driver began arguing, according to law enforcement sources. The confrontation escalated when the driver pulled a knife and stabbed the man before speeding off in the black BMW. No arrest has been made.

EMS transported the victim to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.

The attack came just hours after a separate stabbing less than a block away. Pamela Cisneros, 49, randomly knifed a man and a woman at West 41st Street and Seventh Avenue, according to police. Cisneros killed a 32-year-old woman and critically injured a 68-year-old man within a 20-second span before police shot and killed her.

Investigators are continuing to work both cases.
