Google News MT — Crime (en) reports that two daughters discovered both their parents dead at a home on the 4900 block of South Nellis Boulevard, near Tropicana Avenue, in Las Vegas on Monday afternoon.

A call came in to authorities at around 3:30 p.m. from a teenager who said she had returned from school to find her parents unresponsive. Officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) arrived and found a man and woman, both with gunshot wounds. Medical personnel attended the scene and pronounced the two dead where they lay.

Lieutenant Robert Price of the LVMPD provided early details of the investigation. He said the couple, described as Hispanic and in their 30s, were married but had been separated for some time. According to Price, the husband forced his way into his wife's home and waited for her to return. When she arrived, he shot her and then turned the gun on himself.

The two daughters found their parents after the shooting. A guardian subsequently collected them from the scene.
