More than 30 people were arrested during a three-day law enforcement operation targeting interstate drug trafficking in Harrison County, Mississippi, wlox.com reports. Sheriff Matt Haley confirmed the arrests following Operation Gulf-Line, which also targeted illegal cash trafficking and drug distribution across the county.

Charges brought against those arrested include aggravated drug trafficking, felony fleeing, and outstanding felony warrants. Drugs, money, and firearms were all seized during the operation, with authorities placing the total street value of the seized narcotics at over $500,000.

The operation was led by Homeland Security Investigations, working alongside the Harrison County Narcotics Task Force and the Harrison County Sheriff's Office Criminal Interdiction Patrol. The Biloxi Police Department, the Gulfport Police Department, and the Madison Police Department also participated.

According to the Harrison County Sheriff's Office, the operation was launched in response to a noted increase in illegal drugs appearing locally and being trafficked through the county along Interstate 10.
