Mark Smith, 39, of Ellendale has been arrested as the second suspect in last month's WSFS Bank robbery in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware State Police announced.

Delaware State Police have arrested Mark Smith, 39, of Ellendale, Delaware, as the second suspect in the robbery of WSFS Bank in Rehoboth Beach, dsp.delaware.gov reported on Thursday, 10 September 2026.

According to investigators, Smith assisted Demetrius Frith-Thompson in planning and carrying out the robbery, which took place last month. Detectives established that Smith drove Frith-Thompson to the vicinity of the bank ahead of the incident.

Following the robbery, Frith-Thompson discarded his disguise and changed clothes in the bathroom of a nearby Chick-fil-A before meeting Smith, after which the two fled the area together.

Smith was arrested on 8 September 2026 and taken to Troop 4. He was charged in connection with the robbery, arraigned before the Justice of the Peace, and committed to the Department of Correction on a $6,000 secured bond. He also faces a violation of probation charge.

Delaware State Police note that any individual charged is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
