Tristan described the conditions of his detention in stark terms, comparing them to a slow death. "It's death by scurvy," he told the court, in remarks that his legal team used to press for bail pending the extradition proceedings.

The brothers, once known for a lifestyle of private jets and luxury goods, are now held in what CNN has described as conditions including solitary confinement — a sharp reversal from their previous public image.

Separately, Andrew Tate's lawyers told a court that their client had exaggerated his wealth and did not personally own the supercars that appeared in widely circulated photographs of him, the BBC reported. The claim forms part of the broader legal strategy the defence is employing as the extradition case moves forward.

Both brothers have asked to be released during the course of the extradition fight, arguing they pose no flight risk and that continued detention is disproportionate. Prosecutors have not publicly indicated whether they will oppose bail.

The UK extradition request centres on allegations the brothers have denied. No trial date has been set.
