Three Charged After Brawl Injures Man at Dutchess County Fair Midway

A 29-year-old man suffered facial bleeding and severe swelling to his left eye after being attacked by three men while waiting to board a ride at the Dutchess County Fair in Rhinebeck, New York, patch.com reports.

New York State Police troopers and members of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation responded to a fight in progress on the fairground midway at 8:47 p.m. on 29 August. Investigators identified the three suspects as Ryan A. Depew, 32, of Catskill; Lloyd D. Depew, 31, of Kingston; and Dennis J. Appollonia, 36, also of Kingston.

The victim was transported to Kingston Health Alliance Hospital with what police described as serious physical injuries.

Appollonia was arrested on Sunday and charged with felony gang assault and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Ryan Depew and Lloyd Depew were arrested the following Monday on identical charges.

All three were arraigned in the Town of Hyde Park Court and released under probation supervision. They are scheduled to appear before the Town of Rhinebeck Court on 17 September.
