Two Conway men arrested after cocaine and marijuana found in Murrells Inlet traffic stop

A Friday night traffic stop in Murrells Inlet, SC yielded over 100g of suspected cocaine and 212g of marijuana. Two Conway men are now in custody.

Red Audi stopped near 17 Bypass leads to drug seizure in Georgetown County

A routine traffic stop in Murrells Inlet on Friday night resulted in the arrest of two Conway men and the seizure of more than 100 grams of suspected cocaine, abcnews4.com reports.

Georgetown County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) deputies said they observed a red Audi Q3 weaving through traffic near 17 Bypass and Pendergrass Avenue, in what they described as an apparent attempt to evade law enforcement.

After pulling the vehicle over, the driver — having been read his Miranda rights — admitted there was an unknown quantity of marijuana inside. Deputies then deployed K9 Vito to conduct a search of the Audi.

The search uncovered 212 grams of marijuana, 125 grams of a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine, a small quantity of suspected crack cocaine, and syringes.

GCSO identified the two men taken into custody as Daniel John Whitt, 54, and John Reamsnyder, 42, both residents of Conway. Both are being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
