Two shootings in downtown Santa Rosa over the Labor Day weekend have left police without suspects, pressdemocrat.com reports, with authorities now appealing to the public for information.

Neither incident resulted in injuries, according to a community alert issued by the Santa Rosa Police Department.

The first shooting was reported shortly before 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, 5 September, after multiple callers heard an argument followed by a gunshot near Seventh and Humboldt streets. Responding officers recovered a single shell casing along Humboldt Street. Witnesses provided a description of the suspected shooter, but no arrests had been made as of Monday afternoon.

The second incident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, 7 September, outside El Infierno Cantina at 120 Fifth Street. Officers found multiple shell casings along nearby Wilson Street. Witnesses told investigators that two males fled the scene in an older-model, dark blue sedan after one of the occupants fired several rounds into the ground.
