A woman was found murdered inside her home on Center Ave. in Reading, Massachusetts, on Wednesday night, cbsnews.com reports. Her husband called 911 after arriving home and discovering the body of Andria Hanifan in the kitchen.

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan announced the details at a news conference Thursday morning. The couple's 23-year-old son, Ryan Hanifan, was absent from the home when officers arrived and has been named a person of interest in the case. His vehicle — a black 2010 Dodge Charger — was also missing.

Ryan Hanifan was last seen at approximately 7:25 p.m. Wednesday, driving in the direction of Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Police have warned the public not to approach him, as he may be armed and dangerous. Anyone who spots him is asked to call 911 immediately.

Detectives from the Crime Prevention and Control Unit of the Middlesex District Attorney's office are currently at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
