Dual citizen yachtsman arrested in Ucluelet, B.C. on U.S. child sex charges

Google News CA — Crime (EN) reports that a dual citizen who sails internationally has been arrested in British Columbia following his indictment in Hawaii on child sexual exploitation charges.

The U.S. Department of Justice identified the suspect as Donald Steven Lang, 62. A grand jury in U.S. District Court in Honolulu filed the indictment on Aug. 20, and Lang was arrested over the weekend.

Lang is also wanted in Idaho on child sexual abuse charges dating to between 2003 and 2007, the Department of Justice said.

The RCMP detachment in Ucluelet, B.C. — a community on the west coast of Vancouver Island — received a notification on Aug. 22 about a boat linked to Lang. The department did not specify the exact location of his arrest.
