Google News CA — Crime (EN) reports that Ontario Provincial Police have charged seven people following a months-long investigation into two separate criminal networks operating across southwestern Ontario, with authorities recovering close to $1 million in drugs, cash, weapons and stolen property.

The investigation launched in January 2026 and targeted two independently operating networks, the OPP said. One was active in London and the nearby Oneida Nation of the Thames; the other operated out of the Brantford region.

The seven accused collectively face 64 charges, ranging from firearms offences to drug trafficking and possession of stolen property. Three of the accused are from London, one from Southwold and three from Brantford. Two individuals — one London resident and one Brantford resident — remain at large and have been charged by warrant.

Search warrants were executed on July 7 at four locations in Brantford and Paris, Ont. A second wave of searches followed on August 12, targeting a home in London and a property on the Oneida Nation of the Thames.

Police estimate the street value of the seized drugs at more than $913,000 and place the value of the stolen property at over $100,000. Among the drugs recovered was a quantity of fentanyl that police said represents approximately 65,000 potentially lethal street-level doses.

"The quantity of fentanyl seized represents approximately 65,000 potentially lethal street-level doses," police wrote in their announcement.
