Kingston Police arrested two individuals on September 2 after responding to a weapons-related disturbance at the intersection of Division Street and Garrett Street, kingstonpolice.ca reports.
Officers were dispatched at approximately 6:30 pm following multiple calls from members of the public reporting a disturbance involving several people and the suspected use of weapons. Police secured the scene and launched an investigation shortly after arriving.
Acting on information provided by witnesses at the scene, officers were able to identify the individuals believed to be involved and contain the situation without injury to bystanders, those detained, or responding officers. De-escalation efforts were credited with bringing the incident to a peaceful end.
