The suspect allegedly accessed the shopping complex from the upper part of the building. During the manoeuvre he lost his balance and fell from a considerable height, suffering various injuries.
The fall activated the alarm system of the shopping mall, which prompted the intervention of officers from the Second Police Station. Upon arriving at the scene, the police found the man injured inside the premises and proceeded with his apprehension.
After receiving medical assistance, he was remanded to judicial custody. The proceedings continue to determine whether he managed to steal any items and to establish the damage caused during the incident.
The incident occurred whilst much of public attention was focused on the Argentine National Team's debut at the World Cup against Algeria, a context which the suspect allegedly sought to take advantage of to commit the crime.
