According to lagacetaonline.com.ar, a 22-year-old woman and four children were found dead inside a residence located at Islas Malvinas Street No. 1200, in the town of Quitilipi, Chaco province. Police detained the woman's partner, 25 years old, as the main suspect in the five homicides.
The case began as a fire investigation, but inquiries revealed that the fire appeared to have been used to conceal the crimes. Inside the residence, a scene of extreme violence was discovered.
Initial forensic examinations indicated that three of the children had cuts on the neck and burns in various parts of the body. The mother had abrasions in the lumbar region, while the six-month-old baby showed livid marks on the neck and back.
The victims were identified as Rocío Aranda (22 years old), her son Franco Aranda (4), her cousins Adriana Barrios (5) and Bruno Barrios (4), and the baby Bernardo Ávalos (6 months). Also found at the scene was A.L.Á., 25 years old, Rocío's partner, who was unconscious and unresponsive. He was taken to hospital, where he was diagnosed with acute psychosis and multiple injuries.

Fernando Romero, police chief, detailed that the suspect allegedly strangled the woman and then slit the children's throats before attempting to set the residence on fire. According to reports, the detainee was under the influence of drugs and experiencing a psychotic episode at the time of the events.
