The suspect, a 51-year-old local, had in the meantime boarded a scheduled bus. When officers attempted to address him, his aggression also turned against them. As he ignored several warnings and continued his misconduct, he was arrested.
A breathalyser test carried out confirmed considerable intoxication. According to police, the man was not in a fit state to be questioned at the time of his detention and was taken to the holding facility of the regional capital. A charge will follow once the investigation is concluded.
