When the woman opened the door, her current boyfriend suddenly appeared. The 39-year-old attacked the visitor with a striking weapon, injuring him on the head. A scuffle broke out between the two, during which the younger man defended himself and bit the attacker's hand.
Police officers who were called found the 36-year-old in front of the building with a bleeding head wound. Officers arrested the suspect in the flat. The 39-year-old is being investigated on suspicion of intentional grievous bodily harm. A temporary weapons ban was imposed. Both individuals received medical treatment at hospital.
