A police patrol that was en route to another assignment became aware of the man calling loudly for help. He told the officers that he had just been robbed and indicated that he was already pursuing the suspects in the direction of Gumpendorfer Straße.
The officers abandoned their original assignment and took up the pursuit of the alleged robbers. Shortly afterwards, one of the two suspects was stopped in the Liniengasse area. The victim unequivocally identified the 18-year-old Bulgarian as one of the alleged perpetrators. He was arrested.
Further investigations were taken over by the Vienna Regional Criminal Office, Central Branch.
