Two car dealerships raided in Mariaca case; three luxury cars removed in Santa Cruz
The Public Prosecutor's Office and officers from the Special Anti-Narcotics Task Force (FELCN) raided two car dealerships in Santa Cruz de la Sierra on Thursday and seized three high-end vehicles as part of the so-called Mariaca case, which involves former state prosecutor general Róger Mariaca. This was reported by El Deber.
The first operation took place at an establishment located between radial 27 and Cristo Redentor avenue, in the fourth ring area of the capital city. The investigators also entered a vehicle wash facility linked to that dealership, from which they removed the three seized vehicles.
The second raid was carried out at another car dealership situated near the fourth ring and Busch avenue. At that location, officers conducted photographic documentation, with no report of the seizure of additional vehicles.
Both operations aimed to establish possible links between vehicle sales establishments and the activities being investigated in the Mariaca case.
In October, similar raids had already been carried out on properties and car dealerships in Santa Cruz, with seizure of vehicles and summonses issued for people to give statements. At that time, the general commander of the Police, Adrián Álvarez, anticipated that investigations would continue with new interventions coordinated with the Public Prosecutor's Office.
An official report from the Public Prosecutor's Office and the FELCN is awaited to learn the characteristics of the three seized vehicles, the identity of their registered owners, and the evidence found during the new raids.
