General Jhonny Aguilera faces an arrest warrant after absenting himself from the trial concerning the military takeover of Plaza Murillo. General Zúñiga confirmed the measure to El Deber.

Arrest of General Aguilera for non-attendance at 26 June trial
The court conducting the trial into the military takeover of Plaza Murillo issued an arrest warrant against General Jhonny Aguilera after he failed to appear to testify. This was confirmed to El Deber by General Juan José Zúñiga, former commander of the Police.
Aguilera and a second person were required to appear before the judicial process linked to the events of 26 June 2024 in La Paz. Aguilera's absence led the court to issue the arrest warrant.
"This morning a further phase of the proceedings took place, four witnesses testified and they corroborate that the Government of (Luis) Arce, Hugo Moldiz and others created the narrative of a coup d'état, they needed that narrative to victimise themselves," Zúñiga declared.
The former commander noted that the arrest warrant against Aguilera stems directly from his failure to comply with the summons from the Public Ministry.
Zúñiga went on to say that on the same Monday, 5 October, other persons were scheduled to testify, whilst for Tuesday the appearance of his own witnesses was expected.
