A pedestrian found the body of a man on the morning of Monday (26) on Rua Teizo Tashiro, in the Parelheiros neighbourhood, in the far south of São Paulo. According to g1.globo.com, the victim showed injuries to the face, arms and legs.
The Department of Public Safety (SSP) reported that the investigation is ongoing and that the Department of Homicides and Protection of the Person (DHPP) was called to assist the investigation. Investigators identified security cameras in the vicinity that may help clarify the circumstances of the death.
In the early hours of Sunday, two other men were found dead in Vila Califórnia, also in the South Zone. One of the bodies bore marks of strangulation with a towel; the other had multiple injuries. Police collected spent ammunition cases from a firearm at the scene.
The case is part of a series of homicides recorded in the Greater São Paulo area. According to the latest balance sheet from the SSP, released on Friday (23), 17 cases of body abandonment bearing signs of violence were recorded in the region since 5 September — an interval of approximately 50 days.
