A 21-year-old Swiss man has been arrested after attacking several women at Lucerne railway station in early June. The motive remains unclear.
Arrest following assault on women at Lucerne railway station
Lucerne police have arrested a 21-year-old Swiss man who is alleged to have physically assaulted several women at Lucerne railway station and on an S-Bahn train in early June. This is reported by Blick citing a statement from the public prosecutor's office on Wednesday.
The suspect is said to have deliberately jostled the women and in some cases struck them with his elbow. According to the Lucerne public prosecutor's office, the motive is still being investigated.
Several affected women filed reports, as a police spokesperson had already stated to Keystone-SDA in early June. Following this, police had issued an appeal for witnesses, which they subsequently withdrew after the arrest.
