As reported by Google News CH — Crime (de), the St. Gallen cantonal police arrested a 23-year-old Tunisian in Sargans on Sunday morning. The man is suspected of having stolen or attempted to steal objects from at least three parked vehicles on Leginglen Street. A total of four cases are known so far.

The operation was triggered after a report was received at the St. Gallen emergency and dispatch centre. Shortly afterwards, a resident on the same street reported a man lurking around a property. The police were able to apprehend a person matching the description shortly thereafter.

Valuables were seized from the arrested man, which he allegedly removed from the vehicles.
