Garage owner from Lenzburg sentenced to six years imprisonment – 11 kilos of cocaine seized
A 44-year-old garage owner used his workshop in Lenzburg as a cocaine store. The district court sentenced him to six years imprisonment and 15 years deportation.

As aargauerzeitung.ch reports citing Tele M1, the district court has sentenced a 44-year-old garage owner from Lenzburg to six years imprisonment. The man had apparently not used his garage solely for vehicles.
According to the public prosecutor, the accused stored approximately eleven kilograms of cocaine in the premises. He allegedly resold part of the drugs for around 20,000 francs. During a search of the garage, investigators also seized 35,000 francs and 7,000 euros in cash as well as a pistol with ammunition.
The public prosecutor had demanded eight years imprisonment and a 15-year deportation. The defence presented a different picture: the accused had merely kept the cocaine for third parties and played only a subordinate role, argued his lawyer. He pleaded for five years imprisonment and no deportation. The accused himself admitted to mistakes and named the person of a suspected accomplice.
The court decided on a sentence between the two demands: six years imprisonment and deportation for 15 years. In the judgement, the court stated that the seized cocaine had been 92 per cent pure and could have endangered numerous lives. The fact that the man had previously been convicted of gang robbery was an aggravating factor. He had thereby forfeited his residency rights in Switzerland, according to Tele M1.
