In the night of Sunday, shortly after 11 p.m., a violent physical altercation took place in Inselipark in the city of Lucerne. A 32-year-old Syrian national sustained serious injuries in the area of the public toilets and had to be taken to hospital for medical treatment. This is reported by Luzerner Zeitung.
City police officers were able to arrest a 22-year-old man with a Tunisian passport at the scene of the crime, who is suspected of being involved in the incident. The further background to the events remains unclear at present.
