An unknown man assaulted several women at Lucerne railway station on Monday morning and continued the attacks on the S5 train heading towards Giswil.

According to luzernerzeitung.ch, an unknown man deliberately bumped into several women at Lucerne railway station on Monday morning at 9:35 am and in some cases struck them with his elbow. He then went to platform 14 and boarded the S5 train departing at 9:42 am towards Giswil — where he continued the assaults on female passengers.
This is according to a press release from the Lucerne police. According to Christian Bertschi, head of communications and prevention at the Lucerne police, reports have already been submitted by several affected women. Based on their accounts, police assume there are further victims who have not yet come forward.
The police currently do not have a description of the perpetrator. No statement can be made about a possible motive either, according to Bertschi — why the man deliberately attacked women remains unclear for now.
Investigators are now reviewing video footage. Modern trains as well as Lucerne railway station and the station plaza are monitored by CCTV. SBB operates more than 20,000 cameras nationwide at railway stations, in buildings and on trains.
The Lucerne police are asking witnesses, and in particular women who were approached or bumped by the unknown man on Monday morning, to contact them by telephone on 041 248 81 17.
