The 20-year-old suspect, an Albanian, has been in custody pending investigation since his arrest. Investigators had focused on the man based on information suggesting suspected trafficking in heroin. During the subsequent search of his flat, police officers found 1,700 francs in cash along with the drug.
The Glarus cantonal police are continuing investigations in the case. Further details about possible connections or the extent of the suspected trafficking have not yet been disclosed.
