Lucerne police arrested four alleged burglars over the weekend. Three men were apprehended in a barn in Oberkirch following a failed burglary in Sursee, whilst a fourth suspect was arrested in Lucerne.

Lucerne police arrested four alleged burglars in two separate incidents over the weekend. The newspaper Bote.ch reported on the operations.
In the early hours of Saturday, three men attempted to break into a shop premises in Sursee. The attempt failed and the group fled on foot. Several witnesses alerted police shortly before 3.45 am. Officers launched a manhunt with several police dogs. The three suspects hid in a barn in Oberkirch, where they were apprehended at approximately 5.30 am. They are a 20-year-old Spanish national and two 16-year-old Moroccans. The Sursee prosecution office is conducting the investigation.
A day later, on Sunday afternoon, another man was arrested in Lucerne. At approximately 2.30 pm, passers-by detained a 58-year-old Hungarian after he allegedly broke into a room. Police took the man into custody and held him provisionally. He is suspected of having searched the room for valuable items. The Lucerne prosecution office is conducting the investigation.
