A 30-year-old Australian racing driver is facing trial in Switzerland. He is accused of raping a woman in 2019.
The incident allegedly occurred at a celebration in Gland, in a property belonging to Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher. The woman who reported the man had previously worked as a caregiver for Schumacher.
In the courtroom in Nyon, digital messages from the accused were presented. In them, the man apologised to the plaintiff. These communications were treated as evidence.
