Around six months after the fire that caused deaths and injuries in Crans-Montana, a young Italian woman severely burned has provided an alarming testimony about the safety conditions at the Constellation venue. Sofia Donadio, speaking with journalists, recounted that in the basement the escape route was blocked not only by a stool, but also by a steel chain with padlock.
According to what the young woman reported, the blockage was present from her first entry into the venue. She described the padlock as being of a type similar to those used for bicycles, attached to the door handle.
The testimony raises serious questions about compliance with safety regulations and possible liability for the condition of the emergency exits that night.
