Following the news, colleagues and citizens held a vigil in tribute to the patrol officer, according to images shared by the Cali Metropolitan Police on social media. The uniformed officer lost her life whilst carrying out her duty as she directly confronted the alleged offenders.
So far, there has been no information regarding the identity or arrest of those responsible for the shot that caused Recuero Suárez's death.
