According to information, Mr Klerides' lawyer, Alexandros Klerides, stated before the court that, despite the fact that the Legal Service did not lodge an objection to the application, the defence persists in seeking the quashing of the warrant.
The case concerns the search warrant issued for the home of Nicos Klerides during police investigations into the "Sandy" case. Mr Klerides is seeking its quashing through an application for the issue of a privileged writ of certiorari.
The court will announce its decision at a later stage.
