24-year-old arrested for vehicle arson in Nicosia
A 24-year-old man has been remanded in custody by police in connection with a vehicle arson case in Nicosia. The arrest was made on Wednesday and the suspect is expected to be brought before Nicosia District Court for the issuance of a remand order.
The incident is related to a fire that broke out in the early morning hours of 26 May in a car that was parked outside the residence of the 34-year-old owner. The vehicle was completely destroyed. Following further investigation, authorities concluded that the fire was deliberately set.
Police are continuing investigations for a full clarification of the case.
