A 32-year-old man was on Monday sentenced to three months' unconditional imprisonment for threats against city council politician Signe Vedersø Kjeldorff (DF), according to B.T.
The ruling was handed down by the court in Odense. The man was found guilty of having written the comments '#NakHende' and 'What then, when should you go to the grave' under a video that Kjeldorff had filmed in Vollsmose and posted on TikTok.
According to the politician, several other people can expect to be brought to court for similar threats against her. At one point, she had 30 separate ongoing reports of threats.
"The threats against us politicians, I think, have increased greatly, also on the street, where people shout things and film," she tells the outlet.
Kjeldorff emphasises that the human dimension behind the political threats is often overlooked.
"I believe people forget that there is also a human being behind the politician who is affected by the threats," she says.
